ROOKIE ELIIGIBILITY/ROSTERING:
+ Each prospect loses rookie eligibility when they exceed 130 AB or 50 IP.
+ Players exceeding the rookie thresholds listed above have to be added to the major league rooster within 72 hours from the start of the game they exceeded rookie status.
+ If not moved to the major league rooster within the72 hours he exceeds rookie status, the player becomes a free agent and any team may add him to their roster.
+ The league manager will maintain the prospect minor league roster for each team on the league message board tab.
+ Rookies may be brought up to the major league roster and sent back down to the minor league roster as often as the owner wishes, provided they maintain rookie eligibility and there is space on the minor league roster.
+ Each owner will be responsible for every transaction involving minor league players by posting on the message board tab designated “PROSPECT TRADING’. All trades involving minor leaguers must be posted by one team on the tab and “accepted” by the other team before the trade is considered official.
+ Any prospect called up to the major league roster OR sent back down to the minor league roster must be posted on the message board tab designated “PROSPECT CALL UPS/SEND DOWNS”. The move will not be official until this is posted on the designated tab.( Example: If a pitcher is called up to make a spot start, the call up must be posted on the transaction page AND the player removed from the prospect roster. Then when he is sent back down, the move must be posted and the player MUST be added back to the prospect roster. If he is NOT added, the player will be considered a free agent.)
+ Teams will NOT get any warnings from the league manager when their prospects lose rookie eligibility. This is the owner’s responsibility to keep track of their eligibility.
+ If a prospect is called up to the major league team in real life, owners are not obligated to add him to their major league roster, unless the prospect has surpassed rookie eligibility.
TRADING:
+ Active trading is encouraged and owners will be allowed to craft their rosters best see fit with minimal interference.
+ Owners of teams will be free to make decisions that they feel improve their teams, which isn’t always immediately clear or obvious to others. No drama and be respectful of other owners having different philosophies on trades. Trades should not be nullified simply because one thinks it’s a “bad” trade.
+ 11 votes required to nullify a trade.
+ 48 hour trade window to vote on trades by league members.
+ August 5th trade deadline at 11:30 EST.
DRAFT PICK TRADING:
+ Draft pick trading is only allowed at the major league level roster. Teams must receive back the same number of draft picks they trade away, so all teams hold draft spots in 31 rounds.
+ There will be no draft pick trading at the minor prospect league level. The reason for this is to not to cause confusion. Teams may trade player for player at this level only. As stated earlier, any trade must be posted in the “PROSPECT TRADING” tab, and accepted by the other team.
